I woke up this morning remembering the line about using a coffee filter as toilet paper from this song:
Even though I hadn’t heard it since 1995. It’s kind of refreshingly charming, don’t you think? “Because I’m a product of the 90s, I’m a woman of the 90s!” I love the brief subgenre of songs like these, women half-singing half-chanting with mild irritation (see also Cadell Meryn’s “The Sweater”). Remember when women could get angry without sexy candy-coating?

why have I never heard this song before?! oh that’s right, I wasn’t a feminist until 1999. anyway, this is awesome! and I can BARELY remember times when women could get angry without sex candy-coating. sigh.
